MONTHLY CALENDAR

Summer Library Program

Storytime
A virtual storytime (Storytime LIVE) is presented each Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. on Facebook.

Summer Reading Programs
(June 15-August 2)

The library provides reading programs for all ages, and this year we're using a digital program called Beanstack! (Don't worry, paper forms are still an option!) Keep track of the minutes you spend reading (in addition to other optional activities) for weekly prizes and the chance to enter prize drawings. We'll keep track of the weekly prizes and award them all at the end of the program. Registration (and the program) begins on June 15.

Trail Tales
Take a walk in the great outdoors at Brillion Nature Center and read two children’s books along the way! This year’s books are Leap Jump by Ellen Stoll Walsh and Summer Walk by Virginia Brimhall Snow. The books will be posted from June 1 through June 30. The trails start from the main parking lot. Trail Tails is offered in partnership with Brillion Nature Center and is sponsored by the Friends of the Brillion Public Library.

Character of the Week
Each week, a photo/illustration of a character will be posted on a window of the library along with three clues. Stay tuned for additional instructions!!

Battle of the Books
Open to youth in grades 7-12. Each year, a team of Brillion youth participates in a Battle of the Books competition sponsored by the Manitowoc-Calumet Library System. Youth are given the titles at the beginning of the summer, and coaches work with the youth on the books. Titles for this year's battle are
Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich
Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
A Curse So Dark & Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
Burn Baby Burn by Meg Medina
Dreams Come to Life by Adrienne Kress
Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen M. McManus
Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell
They Called Us Enemy by George Takei

The team will be meeting virtually this summer to prepare for the battle.  This year's battle is Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30 pm at Manitowoc Public Library. Please contact the library if you are interested or have any questions.
