Community Development Overview

The purpose of Community Development is to provide various resources for business retention, expansion and recruitment. The department further strives to promote Brillion's high quality of life and opportunities for growth.

Two committees are instrumental in providing guidance. The Community Development Committee has championed many projects, including the Brillion Business District Market Analysis, and the Business Park Feasibility Study. This group also provides valued input for many development questions and concerns within the City.

The Brillion Redevelopment Authority was established in the Spring of 2003. This Committee's charge, as defined by Wisconsin State Statutes, is to prevent and eliminate blight within the community. Recently, this dynamic group created a Redevelopment District Plan that serves as a guide to development within its predetermined district.

To establish the parameters and elements for which to aim all redevelopment decisions. These parameters must be effectively communicated to the City of Brillion, and be the foundation for all activites and projects set forth hereafter.
