Brillion Fire Department |

| History of the Brillion Fire Department | |||
The Brillion Fire Department was founded on January 16, 1882 to protect the settlement of Spring Creek from fire (later the settlement was named "Brillion.") The charter members gathered enough money to buy a used hand pump from the fire department at Two Rivers, Wisconsin. They then reorganized into two different departments - the Hook and ladder Company, and the Hand Engine Company. Many years later, resulting in more technological advances, the two companies reunited to form a stronger department. |

| Annual Events | |||
| The BFD is most famous in the Brillion Community for holding its annual Mid-Winter Brat Fry. The tradition started in 1967 and has since become one event residents and neighboring communities look forward to attending. Local industries and businesses also get in the spirit by donating items for raffle drawings. Monies raised go toward equipment and educational items for the Brillion Fire Department. |
