American Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary meets the second Monday of the month September through June at the Legion Hall, 123 Beach Street, Brillion, WI 54110 at 6:30PM.

To be eligible one must be a mother, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, great granddaughter, or grandmother of one who is eligible to join the American Legion.

Best Friends of Calumet County, Inc. is a youth mentoring agency serving the needs of children residing in Calumet County, Wisconsin. We have been dedicated to matching caring and committed adults (Best Friends) with children (Young Friends) who are in need of an adult role model in their lives.

The Brillion Area Jaycees is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the community and the development of the individual, with a focus on bringing out leadership qualities in members. Membership is open to men and women between the ages of 21 and 39.

The purpose of the Chamber is to stimulate new business of all kinds to the City of Brillion, promote and encourage existing business within the city, and act as a liaison between the City Council and business for the continued orderly growth of business within the City.


Brillion Athletic Association

The Brillion Athletic Association Board meets the first Monday of every month. Membership is open to anyone 18 years of age and older. The annual dues are $5.00 per member. Activities include: city basketball, Saturday morning basketball, grade school basketball tournament, grade school wrestling, state-wide youth wrestling, youth tee-ball, 6th Grade Charger football , operating Peter's Park and concessions, awarding Coenen Football Scholarship, Outstanding Senior Student Scholarship.

The Brillion City Community Drive was organized to collect money on an annual basis for various community service agencies and non-profit organizations at the local, county and state level (but mostly local). The fund drive is held the first week in October of each year.

In 2006, the Brillion City Community drive raised $35,000 distributed among 27 organizations. Over a half million dollars has been raised since 1988.

Brillion Community Resource Group

The Brillion Community Resource Group focuses on special tasks/projects as directed from City Sub-Committee and school volunteer requests. The Group is also involved with the placement/selection of directional signs on Main St., etc. The group meets twice a year or as needed.

Brillion Community Services is an organization that was formed in 1994 and consists of adults and teenagers who work together to achieve goals for the New Year's Eve Lock-In. Our statement of purpose is "To provide a safe environment for Brillion's Youth." The yearly goal is to provide a safe and alcohol free New Year's Eve for children ages 12-18 or grades 6-12. Future plans include monthly teen activities.


Brillion Conservation Club

The purpose of the club is to protect and preserve our wildlife by carrying into effect programs for the conservation of our hereditary wildlife and to promote any wildlife restoration projects. The club also maintains and operates a trap, rifle, and archery range. Some of the boat landings on Round Lake and Becker Lake are also maintained. Membership is open to the public.

Brillion Federation of Teachers

Membership is open to public school teachers employed by the Brillion School District. The purpose of the federation is to improve public education in the Brillion School District.


Brillion Historical Society

Our mission is to develop, maintain, and update a written and recorded history of the Brillion Area. The Historical Society collects artifacts relative to history, so that present and future generations may be able to study and take pride in the Brillion area heritage. Open by appointment. No admission but donations are appreciated. Tours can be arranged for groups of five or more. New members or visitors are always welcome.


Brillion Housing Authority/Retirement Homes

The board is responsible for policies, promotion, and general staffing issues at Garrow Villa, an Assisted Living Facility located near Horn Park on Parkway Drive.

They are also responsible for similar activities for Parkview Apartments on South Parkway Drive next to Garrow Villa and Heritage Apartments on West National Avenue. Both of these latter two facilities are subsidized rental units for low income senior citizens. For further information contact Marlis Trochta at 920-756-3041.


Brillion Lions Club

The Brillion Lions sponsor many projects and programs. Some of these programs include: Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Home Decorating Contest, flower boxes on Main Street, donations to leader dogs for the blind, sponsor Boy Scout leader training, funding for announcers booth at the Brillion High School, and a banquet for outstanding seniors and parents. The Brillion Lions Club supports the Lions Camp in Rosholt, WI, the Kids from Wisconsin Program, and the Big Ticket Raffle.

Brillion Nature Center (BNC), part of the Brillion Wildlife Area, which is owned by the State of Wisconsin and managed by the Department of Natural Resources, offers beautiful scenery four seasons of the year. Designated a Wisconsin Watchable Wildlife Area in 1995, the BNC and surrounding Brillion Wildlife Area offer glimpses of many birds and animals, including the nature center's logo, the Sandhill Crane. The Brillion Nature Center Association, Inc., a non-profit organization, operates and supports the Center's environmental education programs and maintains the trails. The BNC's eight hiking trails are open to the public from 7 a.m. to sunset, seven days a week.

Come and get acquainted with us. All citizens 60 years of age and older are welcome to attend. The meetings are held every Wednesday at 1:30PM at the Brillion Community Center. Weekly meetings usually include a short program followed by activities such as playing cards and bingo. Watch the Brillion News for a list of programs. The second Wednesday of each month is "cake day" to celebrate member birthdays.

Help promote Calumet County as a tourism destination! The goal of CCTA is to help improve the county's economic environment by increasing public awareness through promotional activities.


Chevy Club

The main goal of the club is to collect Chevrolet cars, trucks, and memorabilia up through 1977. Meetings are held the first Sunday of each month at the Brillion Community Center. Membership dues are $25.00 (national fee) and $7.00 (local fee) per year.


Deer Run Sno-Riders

Activities of the club include an annual Christmas party. The club also maintains snowmobile trails and has various meeting dates.


Friends of the Friendship Trail

Friends of the Friendship Trail, a non-profit corporation, is a support organization for the Friendship State Trail located between the City of Brillion and Forest Junction, and which will ultimately link to the Fox River Trail.

Girl Scouting is for every girl, everywhere-where today's girls can become tomorrow's leaders. Membership in Girl Scouts is open to girls in grades K-12 as well as women and men over 18 that can join as adult members as there are many volunteer opportunities available. Most girls join a local troop for fun and friendship, but they also find out about building character and self-esteem and serving their communities-the core qualities of Girl Scouting. In Girl Scouts, girls find a safe place to grow and share new experiences, learn to relate to others, develop values, and contribute to society.

Kitchen Kut-Ups

This is a local non-profit educational organization for adult education in family living through the Cooperative Extension Service of the Department of Agriculture, University of Wisconsin Extension and Calumet County. An opportunity for homemakers to socialize and work toward progressive improvement of home and community life is provided.

Optimist Club

The Optimist Club's theme is "Friends of Youth". The club sponsors programs to benefit the community's youth. Some of the programs include oratorical contest, Tri-Star basketball, bike safety programs, youth trips, Art & Music scholarships, BrillionFest Electric Parade and donations to community groups. Funds are derived from a pizza sale held each year, and various fund raisers. Meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month at noon . New members are always welcome.


Salvation Army of Calumet County

Assistance is provided for transportation, meals and lodging. At Christmas time the Salvation Army works with local churches and public schools to help with children in need. A food pantry is provided based on individual and family needs. The Christmas program is open to all low-income families of Calumet County.


S.H.A.R.E.

S.H.A.R.E. (Self Help And Resource Exchange) is a non-profit food share program. This service is available to all who are interested, regardless of income. Two hours of Community Service is required to participate in this program. Pick up site: United Methodist Church of Christ, on Glenview Avenue.

Women's Club

The purpose of the club is to bring women of Brillion together for mutual helpfulness and for service to the community. Scholarships, Lunch with Santa, Tour of Homes, Bridge and Cribbage marathons are some of the club's projects. Interesting speakers are part of the meetings. Annual events include a Christmas party and a spring banquet. Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month (Sept. - May) at the Brillion Community Center.


YABA

Young American Bowling Alliance (YABA) is the service-oriented sports membership organization for youth bowlers ranging from preschoolers through collegians. It's a volunteer-based organization committed through education, coaching and organized competition to the development of youth by participation in the sport. YABA encourages the enjoyment of youth participation by providing organized competition through leagues and tournaments, awards recognition and playing rules among other benefits.
